Adding Your Store

Learn how to connect your WooCommerce store to Growffinity CRM. There are two ways to add your store - choose the method that works best for you.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • ✅ An active WooCommerce store
  • ✅ A Growffinity CRM account
  • ✅ Admin access to your WordPress site (for Plugin method)
  • ✅ Your store’s URL

Time Required: 5-10 minutes


The WordPress plugin method is the easiest way to connect your store. It automatically handles the connection and keeps your data in sync.

Step 1: Download the Plugin

First, download the Growffinity CRM plugin:

  1. Download the plugin: growffinity-crm.zip
  2. Save the file to your computer

Note: The plugin will be available in the WordPress plugin repository soon. For now, download it directly from our website.

Step 2: Install the Growffinity Plugin

  1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard
  2. Navigate to PluginsAdd New
  3. Click Upload Plugin (top of page)
  4. Click Choose File and select the growffinity-crm.zip file you just downloaded
  5. Click Install Now
  6. Wait for the installation to complete
  7. Click Activate Plugin

Result: You’ll see “Plugin activated” at the top of the page.

Step 3: Connect to Growffinity

After activation, you’ll be redirected to the setup wizard:

  1. Click Connect to Growffinity
  2. You’ll be redirected to the Growffinity login page
  3. Log in with your Growffinity credentials
  4. Click Authorize to allow the plugin to access your account
  5. You’ll be redirected back to WordPress

Result: You’ll see a success message: “Your store is now connected to Growffinity!”

Step 4: Configure Settings

  1. Navigate to WooCommerceGrowffinity CRM
  2. Review the default settings:
    • Auto-sync customers: Enabled (recommended)
    • Auto-sync orders: Enabled (recommended)
    • Sync frequency: Every 15 minutes (recommended)
  3. Click Save Changes

Result: Your settings are saved and sync begins automatically.

Step 5: Initial Data Sync

The plugin will now import your existing data:

  1. Go to WooCommerceGrowffinity CRMSync Status
  2. You’ll see the sync progress:
    • Customers: Syncing…
    • Orders: Syncing…
    • Products: Syncing…
  3. Wait for all items to show ”✓ Complete”

Time: This typically takes 2-5 minutes depending on your store size.

Step 6: Verify Connection

  1. Open your Growffinity dashboard in a new tab
  2. Navigate to Customers
  3. You should see your WooCommerce customers listed
  4. Check that customer data is correct (names, emails, order counts)

Result: Your WooCommerce customers appear in Growffinity with accurate data.


Method 2: Growffinity Dashboard

If you prefer not to use a WordPress plugin, you can add your store directly through the Growffinity dashboard.

Step 1: Access Store Settings

  1. Log in to your Growffinity dashboard
  2. Click Settings in the top navigation
  3. Select Stores from the left sidebar
  4. Click Add Store button

Result: The “Add Store” modal opens.

Step 2: Enter Store Details

Fill in your store information:

  1. Store Name: Enter a recognizable name (e.g., “My Fashion Store”)
  2. Store URL: Enter your full store URL (e.g., https://mystore.com)
  3. Platform: Select “WooCommerce” from dropdown
  4. Click Next

Important: Make sure to include https:// in your URL.

Step 3: Generate API Credentials

You need to create WooCommerce API keys:

  1. In a new tab, open your WordPress dashboard
  2. Navigate to WooCommerceSettingsAdvancedREST API
  3. Click Add Key
  4. Fill in the details:
    • Description: Growffinity CRM
    • User: Select your admin user
    • Permissions: Read/Write
  5. Click Generate API Key
  6. IMPORTANT: Copy both keys immediately (you can’t view them again)

Step 4: Enter API Credentials

Back in the Growffinity dashboard:

  1. Paste Consumer Key into the first field
  2. Paste Consumer Secret into the second field
  3. Click Test Connection
  4. Wait for the green “Connection Successful!” message
  5. Click Save Store

Result: Your store is now connected to Growffinity.

Step 5: Configure Sync Settings

  1. After saving, you’ll see Sync Settings
  2. Configure your preferences:
    • Import existing customers: Toggle ON (recommended)
    • Import existing orders: Toggle ON (recommended)
    • Sync frequency: Select “Every 15 minutes” (recommended)
    • Import products: Toggle ON (for personalization features)
  3. Click Start Initial Sync

Result: Growffinity begins importing your store data.

Step 6: Monitor Initial Import

  1. You’ll see the Import Progress screen
  2. Watch as data imports:
    • Customers: 0 / 1,250 (example)
    • Orders: 0 / 3,540 (example)
    • Products: 0 / 450 (example)
  3. Progress bars show completion percentage
  4. Wait for “Import Complete!” message

Time: Large stores (10,000+ customers) may take 10-15 minutes.

Step 7: Verify Import

  1. Click View Customers when import completes
  2. Verify customer data is accurate:
    • Check customer names and emails
    • Verify order counts
    • Confirm total spent amounts
  3. Spot-check a few customers to ensure data accuracy

Result: All your WooCommerce data is now in Growffinity.


Verification Checklist

After completing either method, verify everything works:

  • Customers appear in Growffinity dashboard
  • Customer email addresses are correct
  • Order history is accurate
  • Order totals match WooCommerce
  • New orders sync automatically (place test order to confirm)
  • Customer data updates when changed in WooCommerce

What Happens Next?

Once your store is connected:

  1. Automatic Syncing: New customers and orders sync every 15 minutes
  2. Real-time Updates: Customer data stays current automatically
  3. Ready for Segments: You can now create customer segments
  4. Ready for Campaigns: You can send targeted campaigns
  5. Ready for Workflows: You can build automated workflows

Troubleshooting

Plugin Method Issues

Problem: “Plugin activation failed”

  • Solution: Ensure you’re running WordPress 5.8+ and WooCommerce 6.0+
  • Check: PHP version must be 7.4 or higher

Problem: “Authorization failed”

  • Solution: Check that you’re using the correct Growffinity account
  • Try: Log out of Growffinity, clear browser cache, try again

Problem: “Sync not starting”

  • Solution: Go to WooCommerce → Growffinity CRM → click “Sync Now”
  • Check: Ensure WooCommerce REST API is enabled

Dashboard Method Issues

Problem: “Connection test failed”

  • Solution: Verify API credentials are copied correctly (no extra spaces)
  • Check: Ensure WooCommerce REST API is enabled
  • Verify: Store URL is correct and includes https://

Problem: “Invalid consumer key”

  • Solution: Regenerate API keys in WooCommerce
  • Important: Delete old keys first, then create new ones

Problem: “Import stuck at 0%”

  • Solution: Refresh the page and check again
  • Check: Ensure you have customers/orders in WooCommerce
  • Try: Contact support if stuck for more than 5 minutes

Problem: “Some customers missing”

  • Solution: Check WooCommerce → Customers to verify they exist
  • Check: Ensure customers have valid email addresses
  • Try: Run manual sync from Settings → Stores → Sync Now

Data Accuracy Issues

Problem: “Order totals don’t match”

  • Check: Currency settings in both WooCommerce and Growffinity
  • Verify: Refunds are processed correctly
  • Note: Partial refunds may affect totals

Problem: “Customer data outdated”

  • Check: Sync frequency setting (increase if needed)
  • Try: Manual sync from dashboard
  • Verify: No errors in sync logs (Settings → Stores → Sync Logs)
